Senior Manager, Real Estate Fund Accounting

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fast-growing Real Estate Income team. This role is perfect for an individual who thrives in a collaborative, curious, and inclusive environment that values diversity of thought.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, managing, analysing and maintaining the books and records for various Real Estate Income related funds/products.

What you'll do:

  • Review, manage, analyse and maintain the books and records for various Real Estate Income related funds/products
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to clients, fiduciaries, counterparties and regulatory bodies
  • Provide oversight for offshore teams
  • Ensure funds are being accounted for pursuant to the governing fund documents, advisory agreements, and other legal documents
  • Review, reconcile and participate in the operational set up of complex transactions while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Help manage available liquidity through determining and preparing distributions and drawdowns from a combination of debt and equity vehicles
  • Coordinate as well as manage the funds’ independent auditors, custodians, prime brokers, internal/external stakeholders, offshore teams and fund administrators in reviewing, analyzing, providing commentary and producing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

What you bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in either public or private accounting with at least 2 years of experience in the investment management industry
  • Strong knowledge of Real Estate funds/investments as an asset class
  • Familiarity with investment management operations and performance
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to understand and resolve complex problems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge in writing SQL and PowerBI reports is a plus
