Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst to support sound decision-making through precise financial and regulatory reporting. You’ll analyze key data across P&L, balance sheets, valuations, risk, capital, liquidity, funding, volumes, and workforce metrics. Key Responsibilities:
As a Financial Analyst in New York, you’ll prepare regulatory reports, manage key accounting processes, and help standardize procedures across departments. Using SQL and advanced Excel, you’ll automate reporting, support audits, and contribute to database‑optimization projects. Success in this role relies on precision, collaboration, and a drive to improve processes.

  • Ensure financial data is prepared, validated, and submitted in full compliance with U.S. regulatory standards (Federal Reserve, NYDFS, Department of Commerce).
  • Perform timely financial analysis, reporting, and monthly accounting processes, including master data maintenance and cross‑departmental procedure alignment.
  • Support audits and drive process improvements while managing data flows, automating reporting, and delivering SQL‑based analytics solutions.
  • Produce ad‑hoc and management reports, assist with administrative tasks, and contribute to projects that enhance database structure and functionality.
  • Strengthen data governance, conduct data mining and scenario analysis, build business cases and tools, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to share insights that inform strategy.

Key Requirements:
The idealFinancial Analyst combines strong technical capability with a collaborative mindset, bringing experience in preparing regulated financial reports and applying advanced Excel and SQL skills to streamline processes. A solid academic foundation in finance, clear communication abilities, and a genuine interest in process optimization underpin their analytical approach.   • 1–3 years of experience in banking or a similar environment with core responsibility for financial reporting and regulatory submissions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or business administration, supported by strong written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in SQL for automating reporting workflows and handling large datasets, alongside advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, macros/VBA).
  • Strong analytical and communication abilities, enabling clear interpretation and presentation of complex data across the organization.
  • Familiarity with U.S. regulatory frameworks and a proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross‑functional teams.
