Quantitative Investment Analyst

Our client, a company focused on sustainable energy solutions, seeks a talented Investment Analyst to join the team based in Houston.

About You:

  • You have a strong quantitative background with a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in statistics, mathematics, computer science, finance, or economics.
  • You possess a proven track record in quantitative investment or commodity modeling and investment analytics. This includes expertise in optimization, probability, statistics, econometrics, applied math, machine learning, factor models, quantitative risk, and portfolio management.
  • You have demonstrated experience in investment banking or equity research.
  • Your experience ideally includes commodity trading/commodity M&A and/or investment banking.
  • You're a whiz at financial and fundamental modeling, deal valuation, risk assessment, and fundamental/market-specific research (including emissions considerations).
  • You excel in analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with the Middle Office function.
  • Strong modeling skills using PDEs, Monte Carlo methods, and Equity derivatives modeling.
  • A passion for clean energy and sustainability.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain models critical to M&A evaluation, commodity trade pricing, and risk management.
  • Generate investment ideas and conduct in-depth industry and company research.
  • Manage positions post-investment and support leadership in managing investments.
  • Utilize programming languages (C++, Python, etc.) to implement models.
