Our client is seeking a seasoned and knowledgeable professional to fill the role of Associate Vice President, Liquidity Management. The successful candidate will be tasked with formulating and executing liquidity strategies, monitoring essential liquidity metrics, and working closely with business units to optimize funding. Key Responsibilities:
As an Associate Vice President, Liquidity Management, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the bank maintains adequate funds to meet its commitments. Your primary responsibility will be to formulate and execute effective funding and liquidity strategies that comply with regulatory standards and the bank's risk thresholds. You will also be tasked with evaluating the impact of transactions undertaken by business units on regulatory and behavioral liquidity risk. Additionally, you will monitor essential liquidity metrics and trends, advising on necessary actions to maintain funding levels within tolerance. Your role will also involve supervising intra-group funding arrangements, designing stress testing methodologies, and developing new tools to enhance the bank's funding capabilities.

  • Formulate and execute funding and liquidity strategies to manage the bank’s liquidity status within regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate and quantify the regulatory and behavioral liquidity risk impact of transactions undertaken by business units.
  • Maintain robust relationships with key business units and manage liquidity within constraints.
  • Monitor essential liquidity metrics and trends and advise on actions to maintain funding levels within tolerance.
  • Supervise intra-group funding arrangements to ensure subsidiaries are adequately funded.
  • Design stress testing methodologies to assess the bank's liquidity resilience under various financial shocks.
  • Develop new tools, models, and data analysis methods to support the bank’s funding and liquidity management capabilities.


Key Requirements:
The ideal candidate for this Associate Vice President, Liquidity Management role will bring a wealth of experience in liquidity management, balance sheet supervision, and risk evaluation, along with strong analytical skills. You should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or Engineering and have at least 2-4 years of professional experience in liquidity and funding management, balance sheet analysis, or asset liability reporting. Your understanding of treasury and liquidity principles, regulatory requirements, and financial risk management will be essential in this role. Proficiency in Excel, programming, and data analysis for liquidity modelling and stress testing is also required. You should be able to manage relationships with key business units and provide strategic funding recommendations. Excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment are also crucial.
