Consultant - Finance

Robert Walters is seeking a Senior or Managing Consultant to join our Finance Recruitment team in Mexico City. This hybrid role blends 360 recruitment and business development, with a focus on building lasting relationships in the finance and accounting sector. We’re looking for a driven professional with 4–5 years of agency recruitment experience, strong commercial acumen, and a passion for delivering high-quality talent solutions.

Function

The Senior / Managing Consultant will be responsible for delivering full-cycle recruitment solutions to clients within the finance and accounting sector. This role is a mix of client engagement, business development, and end-to-end recruitment delivery, focused on building strong, lasting relationships and providing expert market insight.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage client relationships with finance and accounting businesses across Mexico

Own the full recruitment lifecycle: job briefing, sourcing, screening, interview management, offer negotiation, and onboarding support

Proactively source finance professionals using diverse channels including headhunting, referrals, job boards, and social media

Leverage market insights to consult clients on talent strategy and provide salary benchmarking

Manage and grow a portfolio of clients by offering tailored solutions and consistently high service levels

Deliver high-quality shortlists within agreed timeframes

Track and maintain accurate records in internal recruitment systems

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent candidate and client experience

Stay current with industry and market trends in the finance recruitment space

Local requirements

4–5 years’ experience in a 360-recruitment or agency-based environment, preferably within finance or professional services

Proven ability to meet or exceed recruitment and business development targets

Experience managing both candidate delivery and commercial client relationships

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Proactive and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset

Comfortable working in a hybrid model (3 days in-office per week)

A client portfolio is a plus but not required
