Our client is seeking a Trading Documentation Associate Vice President to join its New York team. Key Responsibilities:
As a Trading Documentation Associate Vice President, you will oversee fund onboarding and account setup for global trading while working closely with internal teams and external counterparties. You’ll manage local registrations, KYC/AML requests, and key transactional documents with strong attention to detail. The role also involves providing guidance on documentation matters and supporting process improvements that enhance compliance and operational efficiency.

  • Facilitate onboarding of new funds and accounts by coordinating with clients, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Manage documentation needs for existing funds, including new service providers, custodians, and emerging‑market account setups.
  • Handle KYC/AML requests and prepare essential trading documents such as representation letters, IPO forms, and regulatory certifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of all trading agreements while providing timely guidance to internal teams on documentation matters.
  • Collaborate across risk, legal, compliance, and operations to resolve issues and support process improvements that enhance efficiency and compliance.

Key Requirements:
To succeed as a Trading Documentation Associate Vice President, you should bring strong experience working with complex trading agreements and supporting fund onboarding within asset management or financial services. A background in law or finance, solid knowledge of legal documentation and KYC/AML processes, and disciplined document management will be essential. Equally important are your communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities with precision, and commitment to continuous learning in a collaborative environment.

  • 5+ years of experience working with complex trading agreements in asset management or financial services.
  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academics or a Law Degree, plus solid knowledge of legal documentation and due‑diligence processes.
  • Familiarity with multiple asset classes, risk management practices, and working with funds and managed accounts.
  • Strong understanding of KYC/AML requirements and experience handling related documentation.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate effectively across teams.
