Our esteemed client is currently seeking a highly qualified Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer to join their team in New York, NY. What You'll Do:
As the Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Reviewing marketing materials and ensuring accurate disclosures: The Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer will be responsible for meticulously reviewing all marketing materials to ensure that they are accurate and comply with all relevant laws and regulations. This will involve working closely with the marketing team to understand the products and services being offered and ensuring that all disclosures are clear and accurate.
• Managing the NDA process with outside vendors and Legal Analyst: The Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer will be responsible for managing the NDA process with outside vendors and Legal Analyst. This will involve reviewing and negotiating NDAs, ensuring that all parties understand the terms of the agreement, and ensuring that all NDAs are properly executed.
• Understanding complex fund structures and ensuring entities are formed and definitive documents are finalized: The Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer will be responsible for comprehending complex fund structures and ensuring that all entities are properly formed and that all definitive documents are finalized. This will involve working closely with the finance and deal teams to understand the structure of each fund and ensuring that all legal requirements are met.
• Managing litigation and regulatory inquiries: The Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer will be responsible for managing all litigation and regulatory inquiries. This will involve working closely with outside counsel to ensure that all legal requirements are met and that all inquiries are handled in a timely and professional manner.
• Establishing a professional network to share ideas and consult with: The Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer will be responsible for establishing a professional network to share ideas and consult with. What You Bring:
Our client is seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:

• A 2019 Law School Graduate from a Top 10 Law School or Top 10 (number not percent) of Law School Class: The successful candidate will have graduated from a top law school and will have demonstrated academic excellence.
• Prior experience in corporate law, including clerkship (any level, 1 year) and corporate associate at top law firms: The successful candidate will have prior experience in corporate law, including a clerkship and experience as a corporate associate at a top law firm.
• Familiarity with Advisers Act and Private Equity, including private funds, private equity M&A, and regulatory: The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Advisers Act and Private Equity, including private funds, private equity M&A, and regulatory requirements.
