Key Responsibilities:
In this Data Compliance Associate Vice President role, you’ll review third‑party AI tools and data providers to ensure they meet strict regulatory and fiduciary standards. You’ll shape policies firmwide on data and AI while partnering closely with research, technology, and governance teams. By monitoring regulatory developments and guiding stakeholders, you’ll influence how the firm manages data responsibly and maintains compliance excellence.

  • Conduct compliance reviews of third‑party AI tools and data providers to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Develop and maintain firmwide policies on data usage and artificial intelligence.
  • Partner with research, data, and technology teams to provide guidance on compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Monitor regulatory developments in data and AI, advising stakeholders and supporting governance and control frameworks.
  • Analyze datasets for compliance oversight, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to cross‑functional risk management initiatives.

Key Requirements:
Your background as a Data Compliance Associate Vice President combines strong legal training with hands‑on experience in data licensing, AI governance, and securities regulations. You communicate complex requirements clearly, support cross‑functional teams, and are relied upon for sound judgment, thorough documentation, and an empathetic, collaborative approach. By continuously developing your expertise and sharing knowledge, you strengthen the department’s overall compliance capability.

  • Hold a Juris Doctor and have 3–5 years of legal or compliance experience in financial services (law firm background a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of data licensing, AI/data governance, and securities regulation, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory issues confidently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for partnering effectively with management, researchers, and technical teams.
  • Highly organized with meticulous keeping, strong multitasking ability, and reliable judgment under pressure.
  • Empathetic, collaborative, and committed to continuous learning, supporting colleagues while staying current with evolving regulations.
