Our client is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 5-6 years of legal experience in litigation. You will be expected to work on lean teams, gaining hands-on experience with client contact, taking/defending depositions, and court proceedings. Your ability to strategize on all aspects of a matter will be crucial. You will also have the opportunity to work across a variety of industries and practice areas. • Admission in New York State is required; admission in New Jersey is a strong plus.

What you bring:
The ideal Commercial Litigation Associate candidate should bring extensive research and writing skills to the table. This includes having drafted dispositive and non-dispositive motions. Discovery experience is also essential - from collecting client documents to drafting document requests and responses. Deposition experience is another key requirement - whether it's taking or defending depositions or preparing deposition outlines. While courtroom experience is preferred but not mandatory, it would certainly add value to your application.
• Extensive research and writing skills including drafting dispositive and non-dispositive motions.
• Discovery experience including collecting client documents, reviewing documents, drafting document requests, interrogatories, responses, using discovery platforms like Relativity.
• Deposition experience including taking and defending depositions, preparing deposition outlines, preparing other attorneys and/or clients for depositions.
• Courtroom experience preferred but not required including oral arguments on motions, preliminary and compliance conferences, settlement conferences.
