Our client is seeking a Commissioning Agent to join their team in Austin, Texas. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply professional engineering concepts, principles, practices, and methods in a variety of materials and project types. You will be responsible for performing entry-level engineering analysis, design, BIM model/document preparation and construction observation for small to medium projects.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Commissioning Agent, you will be at the forefront of our client's operations. Your primary responsibility will be performing entry-level engineering analysis, design, BIM model/document preparation and construction observation for small to medium projects. You will prepare and maintain BIM models, design drawings, diagrams, and charts under the supervision of a professional engineer. Additionally, you will assist in the design and analysis of structural components for various projects. Your role will also involve coordinating with other engineering disciplines and architects to ensure integrated project delivery.

  • Prepare and maintain BIM (Revit) models, design drawings, diagrams, and charts.
  • Assist in the design and analysis of structural components for various projects.
  • Utilize structural engineering software to perform calculations and model structures.
  • Prepare and review technical drawings, reports, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and architects to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our design processes and standards.
  • Assist in answering RFI’s and other questions from the Contractor during construction.
  • Maintain accurate filing and records system for projects from initiation to project close out.

Key Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the Commissioning Agent role is someone who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year university. Proficiency in Revit is essential for this role as you will be required to prepare and maintain BIM models. Attention to detail is crucial as you will be responsible for preparing technical drawings, reports, specifications as well as maintaining accurate filing systems for projects. Furthermore, your ability to effectively communicate with corporate managers, end users, and engineers from other departments will be key to your success in this role.
