An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Vice President of Client Onboarding to join a globally esteemed investment management firm located in Greenwich, CT. The successful candidate will assume a central role in overseeing complex onboarding events, advancing process improvements, and serving as a principal liaison between internal teams and external partners.

Key Requirements:
In the capacity of Vice President of Client Onboarding, you will be entrusted with the stewardship of sophisticated onboarding events that are integral to both client satisfaction and organizational success. Your daily remit will encompass orchestrating comprehensive processes for various account-related activities such as launches, terminations, strategic adjustments, broker integrations, among others. You will attain proficiency in utilizing proprietary systems while adeptly managing numerous priorities within a dynamic setting. Your initiative in implementing process enhancements will be pivotal in refining operational workflows. By acting as the primary conduit for communication between clients and colleagues alike, you will foster enduring relationships founded on trustworthiness and responsiveness. Leading meetings with diverse stakeholders will afford you the opportunity to demonstrate your exemplary communication abilities while ensuring alignment on project objectives. Your scrupulous approach to documentation and coordination will underpin the successful realization of all onboarding initiatives.

  • Independently oversee the entire lifecycle of client onboarding events, including launches, terminations, in-kind transfers, strategy modifications, broker and security additions, new market entries, as well as custody or administrator transitions.
  • Cultivate comprehensive expertise in proprietary systems and tools to ensure the efficient administration of all onboarding processes.
  • Manage multiple concurrent tasks within a demanding environment while upholding accuracy and adhering to stringent deadlines.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for operational efficiency and process refinement across all facets of client onboarding.
  • Serve as the principal point of contact for both client inquiries and internal matters pertaining to onboarding events.
  • Supervise account opening procedures, ensuring all documentation requirements are fulfilled promptly and with precision.
  • Coordinate with external brokers and service providers to facilitate requisite arrangements for new accounts or amendments to existing structures.
  • Preside over meetings involving firmwide stakeholders as well as clients, ensuring objectives are clearly communicated and progress is meticulously tracked.
  • Act as a trusted intermediary between internal departments and external parties throughout each event’s duration.
  • Oversee the coordination and management of intricate projects that span multiple teams over extended periods.


Key Responsibilities:
To excel as Vice President of Client Onboarding, you will contribute extensive experience acquired from prior roles within client-facing operations at reputable banks or investment managers. Your familiarity with hedge fund structures or comparable asset classes will provide invaluable insight when navigating complex onboarding scenarios. In addition to technical acumen, you possess refined interpersonal skills that enable you to cultivate rapport with colleagues across departments as well as external partners. Your methodical approach ensures thoroughness even amidst competing demands. A genuine enthusiasm for mastering new technologies combined with advanced spreadsheet proficiency allows you to adapt seamlessly while offering insightful perspectives on process optimisation.   • Possession of an undergraduate degree with a robust academic background pertinent to financial services or business administration.
  • A minimum of six to eight years’ substantive experience in a client onboarding capacity within banking or investment management institutions.
  • Demonstrable experience in operations—preferably with exposure to hedge fund processes or analogous asset management environments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of products encompassing equity markets as well as derivative instruments such as over-the-counter products and foreign exchange.
  • Outstanding analytical capabilities complemented by articulate written and verbal communication skills that facilitate effective collaboration across teams.
  • Highly organized methodology with proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects without compromising attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to assimilate new systems expeditiously whilst adapting to evolving business requirements within a supportive team context.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, together with practical experience utilizing SQL for data analysis or reporting purposes.
  • A disposition oriented towards continual process enhancement, automation opportunities, and operational excellence.
