Senior Railway Project Manager

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and well-qualified Senior Railway Project Manager to join their growing Rail and Transit team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for career advancement within a diverse and dynamic team environment. The successful candidate will have the chance to lead high-profile projects across North America, including high-speed rail, metro, light rail, streetcar, bus rapid transit and other transit modes.

What you'll do:

  • Directing and monitoring all aspects of multi-discipline planning, preliminary engineering, and final design projects
  • Leading rail-related works with sound technical knowledge
  • Producing and coordinating several projects concurrently
  • Fostering client relations and leading marketing, contractual, design and production tasks
  • Interfacing with clients, Federal, Local and State government contacts for projects located anywhere within the US
  • Managing activities related to Rail and Transit projects throughout development phases from feasibility study to commissioning and handover
  • Directing designs including development of plans and specifications
  • Engaging with clients to identify opportunities to advise and support them in resolving their key issues
  • Developing new business through technical proposal development, networking, specialized service offerings, client interaction, conference participation and professional reputation
  • Mentoring and development of junior staff and design team members

What you bring:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; Masters degree is a plus
  • Arizona Civil P.E. required; eligibility for licenses in additional US States is beneficial
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience with design, construction, and project management of rail and transit facilities; at least five years of experience with North American rail and transit agencies
  • Complete working knowledge of US Railway regulations and standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas to peers, senior staff, and clients
  • Experience with common software for industry; experience with international infrastructure projects and alternative delivery methods is a plus
  • Travel required when necessary, including the potential for overnight stays up to 3-4 nights a week
