Our client is seeking a proficient Automation Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role presents an engaging opportunity to be involved in all automation activities, including the implementation of sequences of operations, writing functional specifications and design specifications, creating project software and graphics, and conducting engineering testing activities. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on diverse projects.

Responsibilities:

As an Automation Engineer, your role will be pivotal in various automation activities. Your responsibilities will encompass generating sequence of operations documents for different processes such as door interlocks and POD HVAC Automation. You will also be tasked with creating P&ID drawings based on project needs. A significant part of your role will involve converting project documentation into code to program various systems like HVAC, door interlock, security, and process equipment. Additionally, you will specify and order instruments as per the POD design. Your role will also require you to assist in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities to ensure the proper functioning of software. Lastly, you will support communications and document exchange between the company and various stakeholders.

  • Generate sequence of operations documents related to door interlocks, POD HVAC Automation, and high-level integration sequencing
  • Create P&ID drawings based on project needs
  • Convert project documentation into code to program HVAC, door interlock, security, and process equipment
  • Specify and order instruments per the POD design
  • Assist in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities to ensure proper functioning of software
  • Support communications and document exchange between the company and engineering firms, customers, 3rd party integrators in conceptual design and detailed automation platform design discussions

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this Automation Engineer position brings a wealth of experience in controls for HVAC systems. You are adept at reading and understanding plan drawings and electrical schematics. Your proficiency with AutoCad Electrical software or other drafting software sets you apart from others. You are skilled in various computer functions such as using word processors, spreadsheets, and navigating the internet. Your technical writing experience enables you to effectively communicate complex information. Furthermore, your knowledge of commissioning in accordance with cGMP standards is crucial for this role.
