Our client is searching for a proficient and experienced Maintenance Superintendent to become part of their team in Dallas, Texas. This role presents an engaging opportunity to supervise the maintenance department, ensuring swift response to equipment and facility needs. The successful candidate will be tasked with planning and directing the supervision of employees, liaising with management personnel, monitoring equipment downtime, and fostering a harmonious work environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless running of our client's operations. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the Maintenance Department, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest standard. You will collaborate closely with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, while also monitoring equipment downtime. Your excellent communication skills will be vital in fostering a harmonious work environment. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement activities.

  • Plan and direct the supervision of the Maintenance Department
  • Liaise with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards
  • Monitor equipment downtime through reviewing processes, equipment, and training needs
  • Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports
  • Support, administer and ensure compliance with all company policies
  • Plan for optimum utilization of equipment, personnel, and supplies
  • Interview applicants and train new employees
  • Foster a harmonious work environment through effective communication and respectful treatment
  • Responsible for timely input of information into Kronos to assist Payroll
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for all hourly employees

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this Maintenance Superintendent position brings a wealth of experience in managing maintenance departments. You possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Your computer literacy, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Office, will be essential for this role. You have a deep understanding of foundry processes, preventative maintenance programs, and continuous improvement activities. Your excellent communication skills enable you to foster harmony within the workforce. Furthermore, your experience in conducting performance reviews will be invaluable in this role.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or five to eight years related experience; equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer literate. Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Knowledge of foundry processes , preventative maintenance programs, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to foster harmony within the workforce.
  • Experience in conducting performance reviews.
  • Understanding of safety policies and procedures.
  • Experience in interviewing applicants and training new employees.
