Our client is currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Operational Risk Manager to join their Investments & Capital Markets (I&CM) Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing operational risks and improving the risk management process. As a Senior Operational Risk Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Identifying and assessing relevant risks in a business and developing and documenting adequate controls that mitigate risks.
• Preparing, conducting, and detailing quarterly Risk Control Self-Assessments for relevant business areas.
• Providing support to the business during oversight activities performed by 2LOD and Internal Audit.
• Investigating operational risk events, producing concise summaries, and identifying remediation activities.
• Updating and validating the accuracy of risk-related data stored in BWise (operational risk database) and conducting control testing, i.e., test of design and test operating efficiency.

What You Bring:
Our client is seeking a Senior Operational Risk Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Capital Markets specifically related to Securitization or Treasury-related activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint. An undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, Finance or equivalent is required, and CPA, CIA, CFA or FRM certification is preferred (or working towards a certification).

In addition to the qualifications mentioned above, the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the financial industry and the regulatory environment. They will have experience in developing and implementing risk management frameworks and processes, as well as experience in conducting risk assessments and control testing. The ideal candidate will also have experience in managing operational risk events and developing remediation plans.

Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000 base plus bonus
