This role involves overseeing the sales efforts of the company with a specific focus on increasing the retail presence of Sweetums products. The Director of Sales reports to the CEO and is responsible for creating and maintaining new sales opportunities.
What you'll do:
Develop relationships with new and existing clients or customers.
Expected to perform majority of work duties and be available during standard business hours (e.g. Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm) although there may be times where work is required outside of standard business hours. Remote work is acceptable. No in office presence is required.
Devise new sales strategies to increase profits.
Meet sales targets and deadlines.
Negotiate with potential customers to settle on a sales deal.
Reach out to potential retail partnerships.
Create a roadmap to increasing sales.
Work with existing retail partners to expand business via sales, product displays and other efforts to boost the visibility and attractiveness of company products
Collaborate with the marketing team to increase sales in DTC and retail
Recording and maintaining data related to monthly and yearly sales.
Generating sales reports.
Hire and train new sales staff
Meet with management and senior executives to devise new sales strategies and identify new opportunities for development
Use established relationships with retailers to create partnerships for the company
Qualifications:
Experience in sales with CPG companies
Organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Experience in sexual wellness and/or beauty/cosmetics preferable
5+ years of sales experience
Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise
Demonstrates high degree of problem solving techniques
Exceptional Financial and Business Acumen
Experience working with and managing Broker and Direct sales associates
Proven success cultivating and maintaining professional relationships with national accounts within the consumer facing industry
Innovative thinker with strong quantitative analysis skills to identify competition, consumer and customer trends as well as an ability to identify new business development approaches
Able to use Word, Excel, Google Suite, Sales Force and Asana
