Our client is on the hunt for their first Founding Account Executive to lay the foundation for their sales growth. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the full sales cycle, from identifying leads to closing deals with mid-market companies and enterprises.

With a clear ideal customer and strong traction, they are ready to build a fully scalable sales motion. Your expertise in proactive prospecting, relationship-building, and product knowledge will be key to your success.

What you'll do:

As a Founding Account Executive, you will be instrumental in building our client's sales foundation. You will have the responsibility of managing the entire sales cycle - from identifying potential leads to closing deals with mid-market companies and enterprises. Your role will also involve working closely with marketing and product teams, providing valuable insights that strengthen their value proposition and improve marketing messaging. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to ideate on new sales processes and identify process improvements that optimize sales productivity and consistency.

  • Own the full sales cycle – from initial outreach through to deal close.
  • Drive top of funnel activity and manage your own pipeline.
  • Work closely with the marketing and product teams.
  • Inform product roadmap by gathering customer feedback.
  • Ideate on new sales processes and identify process improvements.
  • Continuously refine the sales methodology by incorporating learnings into playbooks, templates, and best practices.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Founding Account Executive role brings a wealth of experience in B2B sales, particularly in selling technical solutions to mid-market or enterprise clients. You have a proven track record of generating lead pipelines and exceeding sales targets. Your excellent communication skills allow you to connect effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. A genuine excitement about AI and its potential societal impacts is crucial for this role. Furthermore, you possess a growth mindset, able to act quickly on feedback, and demonstrate a self-starter mentality with a drive to achieve.

  • 3+ years of quota carrying and closing customers in B2B sales.
  • Experience selling technical solutions to mid-market or enterprise clients.
  • Experience working in a startup (pre-series C).
  • Proven track record of generating lead pipeline, exceeding sales targets and quotas.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Genuine excitement about AI and its potential societal impacts.
  • Growth mindset with ability to act quickly on feedback.
  • Self-starter mentality with a drive to achieve.
