A global logistics provider is hiring two Business Development Managers for its North America Final Mile Heavy Bulky Home Delivery division. The role centers on acquiring new clients, developing strategic partnerships, and delivering high-quality home delivery solutions for oversized goods. The company offers strong support resources, flexible work options, comprehensive benefits, and uncapped commissions.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Business Development Manager for Final Mile Home Delivery, you will identify new business opportunities within the oversized consumer goods sector and lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution. Your work includes researching target accounts, engaging potential clients, collaborating with internal teams, and presenting tailored proposals. You will maintain disciplined pipeline management, stay current on market trends, and represent the organization at key industry events. Success is defined by consistently winning new business, nurturing strong executive relationships, and supporting sustainable growth for both clients and the organization.

  • Lead the full sales cycle—from prospecting and lead generation through contract execution and customer onboarding—for final mile heavy bulky delivery services.
  • Identify and convert high‑value enterprise and mid‑market prospects across sectors like furniture, appliances, fitness, home improvement, and specialty retail.
  • Develop data‑driven account strategies and present tailored value‑based delivery solutions, including white‑glove, assembly, installation, reverse logistics, and hybrid delivery models.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build commercially viable proposals while nurturing strong executive‑level client relationships.
  • Maintain disciplined CRM pipeline management, exceed revenue goals, represent the company at key industry events, and travel as needed (up to 50%).

Key Requirements:

To excel in this role, you’ll need substantial experience generating new business within logistics, especially involving heavy and bulky items. You should demonstrate a record of winning enterprise clients through consultative, relationship‑driven sales approaches. Strong analytical skills are essential for segmenting target accounts using both quantitative CRM data and qualitative industry insights. Your interpersonal strengths will help you build rapport with senior decision‑makers while collaborating effectively across internal teams. Success also requires staying current with industry trends, managing multiple priorities with precision, and maintaining high performance without compromising integrity or empathy.

  • Must reside in one of the following cities: Chicago, Atlanta, New York City, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Charlotte, Memphis, or Dallas.
  • 7+ years of business development or sales experience in final‑mile or heavy‑bulky home delivery, with a proven record of closing complex logistics deals.
  • Deep expertise in last‑mile operational models (dedicated fleet, brokered, hybrid) and premium services such as white‑glove delivery, assembly, installation, and reverse logistics.
  • Proven success selling to retailers, manufacturers, and e‑commerce brands, supported by strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities backed by data analysis skills.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and structured sales methodologies (Challenger, Miller Heiman, SPIN), along with a bachelor’s degree and an entrepreneurial, accountable mindset.
