Estimator

Key Responsibilities:
In this Estimator role, you will use your analytical skills to create both conceptual and detailed cost estimates from technical drawings and specifications. You will work closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and project managers to gather data, analyze costs, prepare forecasts, and maintain precise documentation. Clear communication will be essential as you present complex information to diverse stakeholders. Success requires managing multiple tasks with accuracy and composure. Your expertise will support a collaborative team and help advance major construction projects.
- Prepare and update budgetary and final cost estimates based on preliminary and completed design drawings.
- Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams to meet costing needs for unique POD designs.
- Establish regional benchmark costs and refine proprietary estimating tools to improve efficiency.
- Provide clear justification for estimates, conduct risk analyses, track key metrics, and prepare forecasts.
- Support project managers with cost impacts on change orders and maintain organized, up‑to‑date costing records.
Key Requirements:
An Estimator in this organization should bring strong construction estimation experience supported by solid technical skills. You must be able to interpret complex blueprints, collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams, and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues. Strong data analysis and organizational abilities help you identify trends and maintain accurate records. Adaptability is essential as priorities shift, and a commitment to precision drives both individual and team success.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, construction science, technology, or mathematics.
- 1–2 years of design software experience and at least 3 years as a Construction Estimator.
- Strong data research and analysis skills, including use of key performance indicators.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with contractors, engineers, and architects while interpreting complex technical drawings.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and software proficiency to support accurate, organized project work.
