Reliability Electrical Engineer

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a committed and knowledgeable Reliability Electrical Engineer to join their team in Marietta, Ohio. This role is crucial to the installation, diagnosis, and repair of industrial equipment, with a specific emphasis on electrical and instrumentation. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying opportunities for enhancements in reliability and availability while reducing operating and maintenance costs.

Responsibilities:

As a Reliability Electrical Engineer, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's industrial manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for providing technical support to daily operations, participating in various processes such as HAZOP, PHA, MOC, SCI, ENV, and QCI. Your expertise will guide the identification of suitable replacements for outdated electrical equipment. Furthermore, you will develop and maintain maintenance procedures that uphold the company's commitment to safety and efficiency.

  • Adhere to all company policies & procedures as well as site health, safety, security and environmental rules
  • Provide support for installation, inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs for electrical equipment
  • Identify and suggest opportunities for enhancements in reliability and availability and reduction in operating and maintenance cost
  • Provide technical support to day-to-day operations and maintenance for repairs and equipment failure analysis
  • Support / Participate in HAZOP, PHA, MOC, SCI, ENV, and QCI processes
  • Provide program oversight for predictive maintenance monitoring on production equipment for the plant. Support and/or facilitate corrective actions for identified deficiencies.
  • Provide guidance and expertise in identifying suitable replacements for outdated electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance procedures and departmental practices.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the Reliability Electrical Engineer position brings a wealth of experience from an industrial manufacturing environment. With a BS in Electrical Engineering under your belt along with 5+ years of relevant experience, you are well-versed in National Electric Code requirements and have hands-on experience with plant electrical and instrumentation equipment maintenance. Your knowledge of E&I best practices, standards, and maintenance requirements will be invaluable in this role. You are comfortable working with Windows and Microsoft Office Programs, and any SAP experience is a definite plus.

  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of Electrical & Instrumentation engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of applicable National Electric Code requirements.
  • Experience with industrial Distributed Control Systems
  • Hands-on experience with plant electrical and instrumentation equipment maintenance and troubleshooting: Variable Frequency Drives, Motors, Discrete & Analog Instrumentation, Industrial communication protocols (HART, Modbus, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP), Automated valves Safety Critical Interlocks Low voltage power systems
  • Knowledge of E&I best practices, standards and maintenance requirements such as technology specific installation, troubleshooting and PM/PdM activities
  • Ability to accomplish objectives without direct authority.
  • Working knowledge of Windows, and Microsoft Office Programs
  • SAP experience is a plus.
