Our client is seeking a committed and experienced Project Manager - Plumbing PE. This role provides the opportunity to apply advanced engineering concepts, principles, practices, and methods across a range of projects. The successful candidate will have the chance to inspire and guide others towards achieving project objectives, manage and oversee projects as the sole point of contact for full Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) design.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager - Plumbing PE, your role will be multifaceted. You will be responsible for performing complex engineering analysis, design planning, review, and construction administration. Your ability to perform original design work, plan specifications, cost estimates while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards will be crucial. You will also serve as a project manager on moderately complex projects where you'll plan, schedule and lead all phases. Furthermore, you'll support business development by marketing the firm’s services, estimating costs, acquiring contracts and developing relationships.

  • Perform engineering calculations and estimates
  • Collect, organize, and interpret project-related information for new project designs
  • Identify, analyze, and recommend engineering alternatives
  • Conduct preliminary engineering studies including data gathering, analysis of alternatives, and related calculations
  • Perform original design work, plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Ensure compliance with plans and specifications through field observations of contractor's work
  • Interpret and condense field notes to prepare plans and drawings
  • Maintain accurate filing and records system for projects from initiation to close out

Key Requirements:

As a Project Manager - Plumbing PE, you bring a wealth of experience in the field. With your Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited university coupled with at least 6 years of engineering work experience under your belt, you are well-equipped to handle the demands of this role. Your Professional Engineer license attests to your expertise in the field. Your familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit will be essential in carrying out your duties effectively. Your leadership skills will shine as you provide work assignments, evaluations, training and guidance. Lastly, your strong attention to detail will ensure that no stone is left unturned in your pursuit of project excellence.

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 6 years engineering work experience; 8 to 10+ years desired
  • Professional Engineer license
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Ability to provide leadership, work assignments, evaluation, training and guidance
  • Strong attention to detail
  • On site in Austin or San Antonio
