Project Manager/ Mechanical P.E.
Our client is currently seeking a dedicated Project Manager/ Mechanical P.E. to join their team. This role offers an opportunity to apply advanced engineering concepts, principles, practices, and methods in a variety of work environments. The successful candidate will have the chance to influence and motivate others to achieve project objectives while managing and overseeing projects as the sole point of contact for full Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager/ Mechanical P.E., your role will be multifaceted. You will be responsible for performing engineering analysis, design planning, review, and construction administration for both large and small projects. Your ability to identify problems or opportunities through data collection and analysis will be crucial in this role. Furthermore, you will serve as the liaison with clients and contractors ensuring customer satisfaction. Your contribution will extend to business development where you will support marketing efforts of the firm's services.
- Perform engineering calculations and estimates
- Collect, organize, interpret project-related information for new project designs
- Conduct preliminary engineering studies including data gathering, analysis of alternatives, and related calculations
- Perform original design work, plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Ensure compliance with plans and specifications through field observations of contractor's work
- Serve as project manager on moderately complex projects
- Support marketing the firm’s services, estimating, acquiring, and signing contracts
Key Requirements:
As the ideal candidate for the Project Manager/ Mechanical P.E., you bring a wealth of experience in the field. Your academic background in Engineering coupled with your professional experience sets you apart. You are familiar with AutoCAD and Revit which aids in your ability to perform original design work. Your leadership skills enable you to guide your team effectively towards achieving project objectives. Your attention to detail ensures that all tasks are executed meticulously. Lastly, your strong communication skills allow you to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year university plus a minimum of 6 years engineering work experience; 8 to 10+ years of engineering work experience is desired.
- Professional Engineer license.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Ability to provide leadership, work assignments, evaluation, training and guidance.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
