Structural Project Manager/ P.E.
Our client is currently seeking a Structural Project Manager to join their team in Austin. This role offers an opportunity to apply advanced engineering concepts, principles, practices, and methods in a variety of work environments. The successful candidate will have the chance to influence and motivate others to achieve project objectives, manage and oversee projects as the sole point of contact for full Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) design.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Structural Project Manager, you will be responsible for performing and leading others in performing engineering analysis, design, plan review, and construction administration for both large and small projects. You will be required to perform original design work, plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Furthermore, you will serve as project manager on moderately complex projects where you will assign projects, establish schedules, monitor performance of teams, provide guidance and leadership.
- Perform engineering calculations and estimates
- Collect, organize, and interpret a variety of project-related information
- Identify, analyze, and recommend engineering alternatives
- Conduct preliminary engineering studies
- Perform original design work, plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Conduct field observations of work done by contractors to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
- Serve as project manager on moderately complex projects
Key Requirements:
The ideal candidate for the Structural Project Manager position will bring a wealth of engineering experience along with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university. A Professional Engineer license is essential for this role. Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is also highly desirable. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail along with strong communication skills.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year university plus a minimum of 6 years engineering work experience; 8 to 10+ years of engineering work experience is desired.
- Professional Engineer license.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Ability to provide leadership, work assignments, evaluation, training and guidance.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
