Our client is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (ISR) with a passion for learning and implementing new systems and capabilities in the airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) mission space. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take on technical leadership on projects and business pursuits, providing systems engineering leadership for projects with multiple team members.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Systems Engineer (ISR), you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing new system capabilities in the airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) mission space. You will play a pivotal role in leading ISR systems technical requirements development, architecture design, integration and testing efforts. Your expertise will be crucial in performing technical trade studies related to ISR systems. You will also have the opportunity to demonstrate your domain technical knowledge regarding Signal Processing Architectures and Systems related to ISR.

  • Lead ISR systems technical requirements development, architecture, design, integration, and test efforts
  • Perform technical trade studies related to ISR systems
  • Develop risk management and mitigation plans for complex systems
  • Contribute on proposal generation encompassing technical performance, cost, and schedule
  • Incorporate Systems Engineering rigor with respect to requirements development, segmentation, flow-down, verification, and validation
  • Provide technical leadership to systems engineering and software engineering teams on projects
  • Provide technical guidance to the project team regarding technical decisions on each project in the areas of Digital Signal Processing and Software Architecture Implementations
  • Demonstrate domain technical knowledge regarding Signal Processing Architectures and Systems related to ISR

Key Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Systems Engineer (ISR) role brings a wealth of experience in similar positions. With ten or more years of experience in signal collection and signal processing systems, you have a deep understanding of the systems engineering requirements process and Vee model. Your experience with software defined radios and their application in ISR systems sets you apart. You are comfortable operating in a fast-paced and collaborative small team environment, and your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enable you to lead technical teams effectively.

  • Current DoD Top Secret Security Clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience
  • Ten or more years of experience in similar position with a minimum of seven years in signal collection and signal processing systems
  • Understanding and demonstrated ability with the systems engineering requirements process and Vee model
  • Experience with software defined radios and their application in ISR systems
  • Experience with wireless communications systems and protocols using AM, FM, BPSK, QPSK, QAM
  • Understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals related to antennas and receiving systems
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced and collaborative small team environment
