Senior Infrastructure Engineer

A leading generative AI client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in New York to help transform operational practices across major financial institutions through secure, automated solutions. Key Responsibilities:
You will lead the hands‑on deployment of advanced generative AI solutions for major financial institutions, travelling nationwide to assess infrastructure needs and design tailored implementation strategies. Using Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and cloud technologies, you will guide clients through complex technical decisions while ensuring alignment with business goals. The role also involves close collaboration with internal engineering teams, clear communication with stakeholders, and building strong, trust‑based client relationships.

• Oversee on‑site installation and configuration of advanced AI products across Azure AKS, AWS, and select on‑premises Kubernetes environments.
• Partner with financial‑sector clients to assess existing infrastructure and design tailored deployment strategies aligned with their needs.
• Translate product specifications into effective deployment methodologies through close collaboration with internal engineering teams.
• Develop automated deployment processes, communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, and manage stakeholder expectations throughout engagements.
• Maintain thorough documentation, stay current with emerging technologies, and contribute to a transparent, collaborative team culture.

Key Requirements:
You bring deep experience deploying cloud‑native applications with tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes (AKS/AWS), Helm, and major cloud providers, along with a strong track record working directly with clients in regulated industries. You’re skilled at translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for decision‑makers, and you stay composed and effective when navigating ambiguity. Your academic foundation, professional communication skills, and commitment to continuous learning make you a reliable partner to both clients and engineering teams.

• Expert-level experience with Terraform, advanced proficiency in Kubernetes (AKS/AWS) and major cloud platforms, and solid capability with Helm.
• Proven ability to present technical concepts effectively in workshops and translate complex infrastructure decisions into clear business value.
• Demonstrated skill in managing expectations diplomatically and resolving escalations during complex client engagements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with at least seven years in engineering or equivalent hands‑on roles.
• Fluency in English, strong interpersonal skills, willingness to reside in New York City with regular U.S. travel, and a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability.
