Our client is seeking a Client Onboarding Associate to join a globally esteemed investment management institution. The successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring that onboarding experiences for clients are executed with precision and professionalism, working in concert with both internal departments and external partners.

Key Requirements:
In the capacity of Client Onboarding Associate, you will be entrusted with the comprehensive coordination of pivotal account events for institutional clientele. Your daily undertakings will necessitate close collaboration with an array of internal teams as well as external service providers. You will employ advanced workflow technologies to monitor progress against established milestones whilst ensuring all obligations are discharged ahead of schedule. As the central conduit for communication during onboarding events, you will cultivate trust through transparent dialogue and reliable execution. The ability to manage numerous priorities within a dynamic environment is essential as you facilitate meetings, oversee documentation requirements, address queries promptly, and champion ongoing improvement initiatives. Success in this role is defined by surpassing client expectations through diligent planning, proactive resolution of challenges, and an unwavering dedication to excellence.

  • Independently oversee and provide substantial support in the execution of critical account events such as launches, terminations, in-kind transfers, strategy modifications, broker security additions, new market entries, and changes involving custody or administration.
  • Cultivate proficiency in proprietary workflow systems and management tools to ensure all deliverables are fulfilled with accuracy and efficiency prior to each event.
  • Facilitate communication regarding updates to the business pipeline and forthcoming events across all levels of the organization, ensuring stakeholders remain comprehensively informed throughout each stage.
  • Monitor key milestones throughout each project lifecycle to guarantee that client expectations are consistently met or surpassed.
  • Serve as the principal liaison between internal teams—including Operations, Portfolio Management, Business Development, Trading, Legal, and Technology—and external entities such as custodians, prime brokers, transition managers, and clients.
  • Preside over both firmwide meetings and client-facing discussions to ensure seamless onboarding processes and address any issues or enquiries expeditiously.
  • Manage multiple concurrent tasks within a demanding environment while maintaining scrupulous attention to detail and prioritizing responsibilities judiciously.
  • Complete all requisite account opening procedures and documentation associated with various onboarding events with precision and timeliness.
  • Identify prospects for process optimization and automation by introducing innovative methodologies that enhance overall team efficiency.
  • Respond autonomously to both client enquiries and internal requests with professionalism and a solution-oriented disposition.

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is requisite for this appointment.
  • Three to seven years’ experience in a client onboarding capacity within banking or investment management settings is indispensable.
  • A demonstrable background in operations—preferably encompassing hedge fund processes—will be highly advantageous.
  • A comprehensive understanding of equity asset classes, as well as derivatives, including over-the-counter products and foreign exchange, is greatly valued.
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities coupled with refined written and verbal communication skills are vital for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Exemplary organizational abilities with proven competence in managing multiple simultaneous projects without compromising attention to detail are expected.
  • Proficiency in Excel and SQL is required for adept handling of data-driven aspects inherent in onboarding activities.
