ESG and Corporate Responsibility
Our commitment to positive impact
Our purpose as a business is to power people and organizations to fulfill their unique potential.
This guides everything that we say and do and is at the heart of our ESG and Corporate Responsibility program. As proud members of the UN Global Compact, our ESG strategy supports the UN's Sustainable Development Goals with a dedicated focus on reducing our environmental impact, powering the potential of our people and the local communities in which we work, and operating ethically and responsibly.Protecting the planet
We acknowledge the global threat posed by climate change and the urgent need for businesses to act. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and to safeguarding the planet.
From switching to renewable energy sources and reducing our business travel emissions, to investing in reforestation initiatives through the World Land Trust, we are taking a variety of actions to reach our target of net zero by 2040 across Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Powering people potential
Our ESG strategy is helping us to power people potential, not just for our clients and candidates, but also for our own people, and the wider community.
As a people business, we're committed to creating a workplace where our employees are engaged, supported and given the best opportunities to develop and grow. We're proud of the passion of our people and the way they give their time, energy and resources to support local communities through initiatives such as our annual Global Charity Day and volunteering leave.
Additionally as a global business we support a range of charitable projects in Kenya, India, UK and beyond as we seek to help others prosper.

Transforming Tsavo with Global Angels
Since 2017, we have partnered with the Global Angels Foundation on their sustainable development project in Tsavo, Kenya which is transforming the livelihoods of the Itinyi Valley community. As drought and the effects of climate change increasingly affect the community, our year-round support is making an impact every day as we support the community to develop sustainable farming, infrastructure projects, small businesses, education for farmers and access to clean drinking water.Employee story: Volunteering with Global Angels
Each year Robert Walters sends employee volunteers to Tsavo to work on key projects and see for themselves the transformation that is taking place on the ground. Hear from our Wellington-based consultant, Matt Mitchell, as he shares his experience of volunteering with Global Angels in Kenya.Responsible Business
Being good corporate citizens has always been core to the way we do business, and we remain committed to operating ethically and responsibly with strong policies, practices and governance in place.
We are also passionate about supporting businesses that are driving the transition to a more sustainable economy and actively seeking to improve their ESG impact. Using our own data-driven insights and research relating to ESG, hiring and the future of work, we are well placed to help businesses find and retain talent with the necessary ESG skills for the future.
