Our client is seeking a Product Owner with significant experience and expertise. This role is within their Financial Risk Management (FRM) team and offers the chance to contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of cutting-edge risk management systems. The successful candidate will be a proven agent of change, adept at resolving complex issues through logical, comprehensible solutions that deliver substantial value to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Product Owner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our client's cutting-edge risk management systems. You will work closely with various FRM teams to gather requirements for different risk management applications. Your ability to identify scope gaps and missing requirements will be vital in ensuring the successful transition from legacy systems to future state applications. Leading requirement workshops, discussions with vendors, stakeholders, and other product owners will also fall under your remit. Additionally, you will assist in developing strategies for knowledge transfer and maintenance of risk systems.

  • Forge partnerships with both business and technology teams
  • Work in tandem with different FRM teams to gather requirements for various risk management applications
  • Identify scope gaps and missing requirements by acquiring an in-depth understanding of the current state (i.e., legacy system) and the future state of various Risk Applications
  • Prepare for and lead requirement workshops, discussions with vendors, stakeholders, and product owners
  • Support or develop test plans and test cases; participate in test results verification
  • Assist in developing strategies for knowledge transfer and maintenance of risk systems


Key Requirements:
The ideal Product Owner candidate brings a wealth of experience in building and working with pricing and risk management systems. A deep understanding of the financial services industry is essential for this role. You should be familiar with Agile software development methodologies and proficient in using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Tableau, and Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of cloud technologies would be advantageous. An academic background in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is required.

  • Previous work experience of 7 or more years, building and working with pricing and risk management systems, preferably
  • Understanding of the financial services industry, including pricing, margins, collateral, liquidity, and operational risks of broker-dealers, futures commission merchants, commercial banks, pension funds, exchanges, and financial market utilities
  • Experience with Agile software development
  • Proficiency using Jira, Confluence, Tableau, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies; experience working with AWS is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant fields, including Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, among others
