Implementation Engineer
A Pacific Northwest technology provider is hiring an Implementation Engineer to lead warehouse automation projects from discovery to go-live. You’ll integrate software and hardware, partner with clients, guide installs, resolve issues, and deliver support that improves distributor operations. Key Responsibilities:
As an Implementation Engineer, you will guide clients through each stage of system implementation. You will gather business requirements, create project plans, and manage installations from scheduling through completion. You will advise on system configuration and resolve challenges with professionalism and care. Whether onsite or remote, you will deliver strong service through clear documentation, training materials, and user support. Success in this role requires proactive communication, dependable execution, and collaborative problem-solving that improves the client experience.
- Guide clients through discovery, requirements gathering, project planning, and implementation expectations.
- Manage multiple project schedules, resources, timelines, and client communications to support timely delivery.
- Advise on system configuration, resolve implementation issues, and configure or troubleshoot software and hardware.
- Create client-specific training materials, system documentation, and user support resources for successful adoption.
- Provide onsite or remote support, including client travel, secure connections, VPN access, and internal team collaboration.
Key Requirements:
Your implementation engineering background equips you to manage complex software deployments from start to finish. You bring hands-on experience configuring enterprise systems and solving problems with cross-functional teams. Your client-focused communication style helps users feel supported while your attention to detail drives strong outcomes. Knowledge of server administration, databases, networking protocols, and training development prepares you to handle varied technical needs. Your flexibility to travel and willingness to share expertise make you a valuable contributor to any project team.
- 5+ years of experience implementing complex software systems
- Strong ability to manage multiple customer projects, timelines, budgets, and competing priorities.
- Technical knowledge of Microsoft Server, SQL Server, Windows, virtualized environments, SQL queries, reporting tools, networks, VPNs, printers, and IIS.
- Excellent communication, organization, and client relationship skills
