Senior Full Stack Engineer

This remote-first startup seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a small, collaborative team building modern commerce experiences for global brands. Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will build and deliver features across both backend and frontend systems. The role includes creating customer-facing interfaces, especially for Shopify applications, while collaborating closely with the engineering team. You will help shape technical direction and contribute to product architecture decisions. Success in this position requires adaptability, strong quality standards, and effective problem-solving in a fast-changing environment. You will also support code reviews, deployments, and overall product delivery to customers worldwide.

• Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end product features across both backend and frontend systems.
• Develop and enhance customer-facing user interfaces, with particular emphasis on Shopify applications and related components.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders to address product and technical challenges effectively.
• Maintain exceptional standards of software quality through code reviews, testing, and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Contribute to technical direction, scalable deployments, and the continuous evolution of product capabilities in response to changing business needs.

Key Requirements:

Substantial experience as a Senior Full Stack Engineer will be essential to success in this position. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in backend technologies, particularly NestJS, as well as modern frontend frameworks such as React and Next.js. A demonstrated ability to operate effectively across the full technology stack will be critical to contributing meaningfully to both API development and user interface design. Practical familiarity with Kubernetes will be valuable in supporting scalable and reliable deployment processes. Prior experience within startup environments, combined with exposure to Shopify or comparable e-commerce platforms and a commitment to continuous professional development, will be regarded highly.

• Strong hands-on experience with NestJS is required to support backend development and API architecture.
• Proven proficiency in React and Next.js is essential, along with the ability to contribute confidently across the full stack.
• Solid working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized environments is important for supporting scalable, reliable deployments.
• Experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms is highly valued, particularly in building UI-focused applications.
• Experience in startup or lean product environments, paired with strong collaboration skills and a commitment to continuous learning, will be highly regarded.
